1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies are small identifiers stored on or accessed from a user's device. They can support security, authentication, shopping-basket functionality, preferences, analytics and advertising.
2. Categories used by Nalo
| Category | Purpose | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Website security, fraud prevention, session continuity, account authentication, checkout and essential preferences. | Enabled where necessary for the requested service. |
| Functional | Optional convenience features and remembered preferences that are not strictly necessary. | Consent where required. |
| Analytics | Understanding website usage, errors and performance. | Do not activate before applicable consent where the technology processes personal information for non-essential analytics. |
| Marketing | Advertising measurement, remarketing or cross-site profiling. | Off unless the user gives the required consent. |
3. POPIA
Where a cookie or similar identifier constitutes or is linked to personal information, Nalo processes it in accordance with POPIA and the Privacy Policy. Nalo will not describe a non-essential cookie as strictly necessary merely to avoid a consent choice.
4. Managing choices
The website should provide a clear mechanism to accept or reject non-essential cookie categories and to revisit choices. Rejecting non-essential cookies must not prevent access to ordinary public website content, although optional features may work differently.
5. Third-party technologies
If Nalo uses third-party analytics, mapping, video, support-chat or advertising technologies, those providers may process identifiers under their own privacy terms. Nalo will assess such providers and, where required, put appropriate data-protection arrangements in place.
6. Retention
Cookie duration should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Session cookies ordinarily expire when the session ends, while persistent cookies expire on their configured date or when deleted by the user.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies or privacy may be sent to support@nalonode.com.
Current website storage — 28 September 2026
This website uses authentication cookies for signed-in sessions and browser local storage named nalo.basket.v1 to remember selected products, quantities and contract terms. The basket remains until changed, cleared or removed through your browser settings. Authentication cookies follow their configured expiry and may be refreshed while your session is active; signing out ends your account session.
The current website application does not load optional advertising or analytics trackers. There are therefore no optional tracker preferences to set in this release. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser; this may sign you out and remove your saved basket. If optional tracking is introduced, the relevant choices must be provided before it is activated. Third-party checkout pages have their own storage practices.
